This shipping policy covers the despatch and delivery of all orders placed through optimumbiotech.uk, the official UK store for Optimum Biotech products. It should be read together with our terms and conditions and our refund policy.
Where We Ship
We currently dispatch orders to addresses within the United Kingdom only. This includes England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. We do not ship internationally at this time. Any order placed with a delivery address outside the United Kingdom will be cancelled and refunded in full.
Despatch Times
Orders submitted before 2pm Monday to Friday are prepared and despatched on the same working day, provided payment has been received and cleared. Anything received after 2pm, at weekends, or on UK public holidays will be despatched on the next working day. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays in England.
Once your parcel leaves our facility, a despatch confirmation email containing your Royal Mail tracking number will be sent to the address provided at checkout. Please allow up to a few hours for the tracking link to become active on the Royal Mail system.
Delivery Service and Timeframes
All orders are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 24, which aims to deliver to most UK addresses within one to two working days of despatch. Delivery is signed for on arrival.
The estimated delivery windows below are guidelines provided by Royal Mail and are not guaranteed.
- Mainland England, Wales and southern Scotland: 1 to 2 working days
- Northern Scotland and the Scottish Highlands: 2 to 3 working days
- Northern Ireland: 2 to 3 working days
- Channel Islands and the Isle of Man: 2 to 4 working days
During periods of high demand, industrial action or adverse weather, Royal Mail may experience delays beyond their published service levels. While we work closely with the carrier to minimise the impact of any disruption, delays of this kind are outside our control.
Packaging and Privacy
Every parcel leaves us in plain, unbranded outer packaging. There are no markings, logos or product references on the exterior that would identify the contents or the sender. The return address shown on the parcel is a generic UK despatch address.
We take packaging integrity seriously. Each order is sealed using tamper-evident measures, and all items are cushioned to protect them in transit.
Shipping Costs
Shipping charges are calculated at the checkout stage and are based on the size and weight of your order. The exact cost will be shown clearly before you complete payment. From time to time we may offer free shipping promotions on orders that exceed a specified value; any such offers will be displayed on the website at the relevant time.
Tracking Your Order
You can track the progress of your parcel through the Royal Mail website using the tracking reference included in your despatch email. The tracking page will display the most recent status update, including the date of attempted delivery, any delivery exceptions and proof of delivery once the parcel arrives.
If you are not available when the courier attempts delivery, Royal Mail will either leave the parcel with a neighbour, place it in a safe location, or take it to your local delivery office for collection. Instructions for arranging redelivery or collection will be left at the delivery address.
Incorrect Delivery Addresses
It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address entered at checkout is complete and accurate. We despatch orders to the exact address provided and cannot be held responsible for parcels sent to incorrect addresses as a result of customer error. If you spot a mistake in your address, contact us immediately by email with your order reference. We will do our best to amend the details before despatch, but cannot guarantee changes once an order has entered the despatch process.
Where a parcel is returned to us by Royal Mail due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we will contact you to arrange redelivery. An additional postage fee will apply for the second attempt.
Failed Delivery and Returned Parcels
If a parcel is returned to us because it could not be delivered — whether due to an incorrect address, repeated failed delivery attempts, or refusal at the door — we will get in touch to discuss the next steps. Options typically include redelivery at an additional charge, or a partial refund once the cost of the original despatch has been deducted.
Missing or Delayed Parcels
If your tracking information has not updated for five working days after despatch, or your parcel has not arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact us with your order reference. We will open an enquiry with Royal Mail on your behalf. Full details of how we handle confirmed lost parcels are set out in our refund policy.
In cases where tracking shows your parcel as delivered but it has not reached you, please get in touch within 48 hours of the recorded delivery time so we can escalate the matter to Royal Mail without delay.
Damaged Parcels
If your parcel arrives in a damaged condition, please photograph the outer packaging before opening it where possible, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order reference and the supporting images. Our refund policy sets out how we handle damaged orders and the options available to you.
Changes to This Policy
